River City Roll establishes a partnership with Pink Chair RVA / The Hawthorne Cancer Foundation

Among the favorite hotspots in RVA, River City Roll in Scotts Addition takes its place in partnering with nonprofit organizations to help many worthy causes in the greater Richmond area. And now, River City Roll has partnered with us to benefit breast cancer patients in October.

All good things await us by virtue of having this partnership.

“More than just a Boutique Bowling Alley – River City Roll (https://www.rivercityroll.com/) is your one-stop for a full night of fun. Whether you are looking for the most dog-friendly (heated) patio in RVA, weekly live music, a place to watch the game with friends, or

needing a bite to eat – we welcome you to get rolling!”

River City Roll's Events & Marketing Director, Heather Nicholas, says, "We enjoy partnering up with local nonprofits to help bridge the gap between our customers and the community. This October, we're excited to work with Pink Chair Project RVA for their very first special event. With it being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we wanted to partner with a growing charity that is making leaps and bounds to improve the quality of life for local Breast Cancer patients. I invite you to come out and enjoy Pink Chair Project RVA’s Featured Cocktails through the end of October, knowing that it will help to make a difference!"

All month long, River City Roll will give $1 for every drink purchased to benefit Pink Chair RVA/ The Hawthorne. Look for River City Roll’s October “Featured Cocktail” to be introduced on Channel 6’s morning show on October 4th.

In addition to RVA’s Featured Cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), we are partnering to present our signature event. This fundraiser is scheduled for Wednesday, October 19th. Fully expect a fun night of bowling, HyperBowling, lanes aglow with colors (Get ready for the PINK!), a spacious ambiance, comfortable couches to sit on, specialty raffles, and good food and beverages.

On October 19th, we will be at River City Roll (located at 939 Myers Street) to celebrate the courage and strength of many in our breast cancer community. Now breast cancer patients have reasons to be hopeful; many are largely thriving due to preventative care, such as 3-D mammograms, as well as state-of-the-art medical and supportive services, such as what Pink Chair offers to grantees: the remote-controlled chairs for post-surgery breast cancer patients to heal in comfort

On our website, see registration information for the October 19th event for bowlers and non-bowlers as well as sponsorship opportunities to support this cause.
