All-Star Spotlight: Robin Yoder

Meet Robin, a shining example of resilience, compassion, and determination. After surviving osteosarcoma as a teenager, Robin faced a second rare cancer diagnosis in 2010, leading to the amputation of her right leg above the knee, but she refused to let this challenge define her. With the support of her family, including her son, Isaac, and her incredible rehab team, Robin relearned how to walk, run, and fully embrace life again.

Beyond her physical achievements, including two world records in Para-Rowing and walking over 50 miles multiple times to raise funds for cancer patients, Robin has dedicated her life to helping others. For over 34 years, she has worked as an oncology social worker and co-founded The Hawthorne Cancer Foundation Resource Center, providing financial and emotional support to cancer patients in Central Virginia.

Robin also serves as Director of Patient Reintegration on the Mission Gait board and is the visionary behind our Discover Your Possible events, helping amputees regain independence and confidence.

Robin proves that adversity is not the end - it's just the beginning of a new journey. Join us in celebrating her incredible achievements at Mission Gait Foundation's All-Stars Night on April 19, 2025, at The Diamond!
