Last year, many of you joined me on my 51.7-mile walk along the Virginia Capital Trail from Jamestown to Richmond. It was an experience filled with beauty and meaning, but this year, I want to up the ante and make an even greater impact.

This fund plays a vital role in helping cancer patients get to and from their appointments and treatments. Cancer patients deal with a challenge that extends far beyond their diagnosis – the logistical challenge of getting to treatment. Having been a cancer patient myself, I understand this struggle all too well. When I lost my leg to cancer, I had to learn to do everything differently. The simplest tasks became daunting, but with time and determination, I adapted. My life became a constant journey of problem-solving, managing frustration, and overcoming physical challenges.
This year's journey may be even more challenging, but I'm committed to pushing the limits. Whether I tackle the 51.7 miles with one leg, no legs, or just my hands – together, we will make a difference. Your support fuels my determination to ease the burden on local cancer patients, allowing them to focus on their health without worrying about how they'll get to their appointments.
